Our researchers participate at the XIV International Symposium on Plant Bioregulators in Fruit Production

Several ANTIOX group members have participated at the latest edition of the international symposia on Plant Bioregulators for Fruit production, which took place in an off-line format and online discussion, organized by Fabrizio Costa from Fondazione Edmund Mach and with the support of International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).

The event gathered together international researchers on plant bioregulators and our ANTIOX members also participated with a speech from the group research. Prof. Sergi Munné Bosch gave a lively talk about hormonal profiling and what we can take out of it with the title "No contradictions, please! What does a simple hormonal profiling tell us about vegetative growth regulation?". Likewise, our postodoctoral researcher Paula Muñoz also participated in the program section of physiological mechanisms of plant hormones, with her work entitled "Abscisic acid promotes vitamin E accumulation in sweet cherries by activation of phytolkinases". The PhD candidates Celia Vincent gave a speech from her dissertation work "Postharvest life and quality improvement of Bacon avocados" and Alba Arabia also presented her work on "Melatonin and its tissue-specific role during postharvest of Angeleno plum".

We would also like to acknowledge the postdoctoral researcher Paula Muñoz for receiving the Young Minds Award from ISHS for her oral communication during the symposia.

Many thanks to the organizers for letting us participate and for the huge effort to forge ahead with the symposia under difficult circumstances!
