Photo-Oxidative Stress during Leaf, Flower and Fruit Development
We have recently published a review about photo-oxidative stress during the development of leaves, flowers and fruits in the journal Plant Physiology. This is an update of the topic as it is the first time that three different organs have been compared regarding mechanisms underlying photo-oxidative stress during development. In this review we conclude that chloroplast-related retrograde signaling is essential for organ development and that, although photo-oxidative stress depends on the organ type and developmental stage, redox signaling may have a key role during organ development.
