SPACES
Facilities and equipment
Several research facilities located in the Faculty of Biology are available, including basic laboratories at the “Department of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences” at the University of Barcelona that provide equipment needed for the analysis of the physical-chemical properties of fruits, seeds and flowers. Besides, we have greenhouses close to our Faculty for experiments with plant crops. HPLC and HPCL-MS/MS are used to measure different quality parameters (antioxidants, vitamins, sugars, secondary metabolites) and hormonal profiling.
